Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways resumes complete flight schedule from dedicated T5 facility
Operations set between early morning and evening departure windows
DUBAI – Jazeera Airways has announced the full resumption of operations from its dedicated Terminal 5 at Kuwait International Airport, marking a return to normalcy after nearly two months of disruption.
The airline confirmed that all services will operate between 6am and 6pm starting May 3, bringing all flights back under a single hub in Kuwait.
This development follows a partial restart of direct services last week after a 57-day closure of the airport.

The reinstatement of full operations signals the end of the airline’s temporary dual-country strategy, which had been implemented to maintain connectivity during the airport shutdown. With operations now centralised at Terminal 5, passengers will once again benefit from streamlined processes and improved travel efficiency.

The airline is expected to reconnect Kuwait with key regional and international destinations across its network, which spans more than 60 cities. This consolidation is aimed at enhancing connectivity while ensuring a smoother passenger journey through its dedicated terminal.
Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, described the move as a major milestone for the airline. He noted that operating entirely from Kuwait strengthens network efficiency while improving overall passenger convenience. He also acknowledged the role of Kuwaiti authorities, including the Directorate General for Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Interior, in facilitating the return to full operations.
What passengers need to know
Despite the resumption, specific travel procedures remain in place. Passengers are required to report to the airline’s Park and Fly facility at least four hours prior to departure. From there, dedicated transfers will transport travellers to Terminal 5 for check-in and boarding.
The arrangement is designed to manage passenger flow efficiently while maintaining operational consistency during the transition phase. Travellers are advised to adhere strictly to the reporting timelines to avoid disruptions.
Project Barakah
The airline’s return to Kuwait also marks the conclusion of Project Barakah, a contingency initiative launched during the airport closure. Under this programme, Jazeera Airways operated through temporary bases in Saudi Arabia, including Qaisumah and Dammam, using an integrated land-air corridor.
During this period, the airline operated more than 1,500 flights and coordinated over 9,000 bus movements, transporting close to 200,000 passengers. The operation was supported by over 500 employees and a fleet of 14 aircraft, ensuring continuity despite the disruption.
